Porter Hire has recently supported DJT Plumbing on a mid-size subdivision project at Old Coach Road, in Upper Coomera in the south of Brisbane. The project has faced many challenges in terms of its location close to existing dwellings, environmental factors, site gradient and poor weather conditions at times.
Despite all this, DJT Plumbing Director Jessie Thomson said with the support his team have received from Porter Hire with the bulk of the machines it has allowed his team to maintain their bulk earthworks program and ensure they stay on track as per the program.
DJT is a privately owned business lead by Jessie who has been in the civil industry for some 13 years. The business has a structure that sees it offer a range of diversity to the construction industry. This ranges from not only large plumbing projects with contract builders like McNabs and Regency Developments but also large scale bulk earthworks and civil drainage, sewer and road works capability enabling them to deliver on time within budget with a strong emphasis on quality and safety for their workers.
DJT Plumbing invest a great deal into training their civil teams to ensure they continue to learn on the job and focus on improving efficiencies, whilst being guided by experienced civil construction personnel.
The Upper Coomera development encompasses a 69 lot townhouse development facility with its overall completion due in mid-2017. Porter Hire has provided
a number of mid-sized machines including 24 ton excavator, 14M grader and an assortment of trucks, water carts and compaction rollers over the
past few months.
Porter Hire and DJT have forged a strong supply relationship through this project and Jessie says “We look forward to our continued relationship with William and the team at Porter Hire.”
